A Collection That Travels With Me

My foreign banknote collection began when I was around seven or eight years old. During a holiday, my parents gave me 50 Francs to spend on anything I wanted. But I never spent it. I liked the note so much — its design, its colours, the idea that it came from another country — that I decided to keep it. That single banknote became the very first piece of what would grow into a lifelong collection.

Now, more than 30 years later, collecting foreign and old banknotes is still one of my greatest passions. No banknote has been bought from a store, they have all been a gift from or bought from people I meet all over the world. Every note has a story!
