A Collection With Stories

What makes this collection special to me is not just the number of countries represented — now over 100 and counting — but the stories behind the notes.

With almost every banknote, I remember exactly how I obtained it. Some were brought back from my own travels, others were gifts from friends who knew about my passion and brought one home for me. Each note represents a place, a memory, or a connection.

It is the only collection I have consistently been able to carry with me from country to country, making it a quiet but constant companion throughout my life.

Help the Collection Grow

This collection has grown over more than 30 years — one banknote at a time. Many of the notes were brought back from travels, while others were kindly given to me by friends who knew about my passion for world currency.

If you have a foreign banknote from your travels — old or modern — and would like to contribute to the collection, I would truly appreciate it. Every donated note adds not only a new country, but also a new story.
