Op de wedstrijddag verwachten we een zee van oranje – duizenden Nederlanders die Paceville compleet zullen overnemen. We zijn nu al benieuwd hoe oranje het stadion er straks uit gaat zien. Eén ding weten we zeker: dit wordt ons Nederlands overwinningsfeest. Want Malta gaan we natuurlijk gewoon verslaan 😉.
Nog geen ticket voor het Oranje-vak? Let op: je hebt nog tot 30 september 12:00 uur om jouw plek veilig te stellen! Daarna stopt de KNVB de verkoop aan fans zonder Oranje ClubCard, en kun je alleen nog via de MFA terecht.
Het Fan Meeting Point (hierna FMP) op de wedstrijddag wordt georganiseerd in de Tex Mex bar in St Julian. Op dezelfde locatie is op woensdagavond al een geweldige pre-party.
Na dagenlang samen zingen, springen en misschien hier en daar een paar pilsjes te veel, is er maar één logische afsluiter voor het Oranje-avontuur in Malta: een overwinningsfeest dat je nooit meer vergeet. En waar kan dat beter dan in Tex Mex Paceville, het officiële fan meeting point en de vaste uitvalsbasis van het Oranje Legioen?
Morgen is het weer zover: 21 september is in Malta een nationale feestdag, namelijk Onafhankelijkheidsdag (Independence Day). Op deze dag in 1964 werd Malta officieel onafhankelijk van Groot-Brittannië, na meer dan 160 jaar Britse overheersing. Voor de Maltezen is dit een belangrijke dag in de moderne geschiedenis, en dat wordt natuurlijk gevierd!
Als Nederlander verwacht je dat alles overal wel een beetje hetzelfde werkt: water uit de kraan, brieven in de bus, en eb en vloed aan het strand. Totdat je in Malta komt wonen.
