Sunday 22nd February, the LifeStar Malta Marathon will take place across Malta. Several area's in Malta will have roads close, see the 5 maps below for the locations and times.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Sliema, Gżira and Msida seafronts in the direction of Valletta
- Ta' Xbiex Seafront will be closed in both directions
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Triq Dicembru 13 (Marsa), Triq Nazzjonali (Floriana), Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp (Ħamrun) and Triq l-Indipendenza (Pietà) in the direction of Valletta
- Access to Valletta should be made via the Valletta Waterfront between 08:35 and 11:30
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Central Link towards Ħamrun between 08:10 and 10:30
- Triq l-Imdina (Farsons area) will be closed in both directions from 08:10 to 10:45 Avoid Mrieħel Bypass and Ħamrun Bypass from 08:20 to 11:15 in the direction of Marsa
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid trips from Mdina / Attard towards Valletta between 07:00 and 10:30
- Triq Durumblat will be closed in both directions from 07:20 to 09:30
- Triq Buqana Roundabout will be closed in all directions from 06:50 to 07:20 and again from 08:05 to 09:00
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Sunday, 22nd February, the LifeStar Malta Marathon will take place across Malta.
- Road closures will be in effect in Rabat & Mtarfa between 06:35 and 09:00.
- Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and plan alternative routes in advance.

Je zit inmiddels al even in Malta… zon, zee, werk, feestjes — maar ineens denk je:

Elk jaar organiseert Malta één van de meest spectaculaire vuurwerkshows van Europa: het Malta International Fireworks Festival. In 2026 vindt dit bijzondere evenement plaats van 18 tot en met 30 april en trekken vuurwerkteams uit de hele wereld naar het eiland om te strijden voor de Malta Fireworks Award.
Na de geweldige sfeer en het enthousiasme tijdens de karaoke-avond van vorige week, organiseren we op veler verzoek opnieuw een karaoke-avond.
Elk jaar op 17 maart verandert St. Julian's in een enorme groene feestzone voor St. Patrick's Day. Hoewel het oorspronkelijk een Ierse feestdag is, is het in Malta uitgegroeid tot één van de grootste straatfeesten van het jaar. Vooral rond Spinola Bay en Paceville verzamelen zich duizenden locals, expats en toeristen om samen te feesten.
Je bent lekker op vakantie of stage in Malta, maar ineens merk je dat je paspoort, ID-kaart of rijbewijs verdwenen is. Dat kan behoorlijk schrikken zijn. Gelukkig zijn er een aantal stappen die je kunt volgen om het probleem zo snel mogelijk op te lossen.
De lente begint goed op Malta! Op zondag 12 April organiseren we bij Sprachcaffe Village een ontspannen middag en avond vol zon, zwembad, sport, lekker eten en muziek.
Wie in Malta woont of hier langere tijd verblijft merkt het al snel: zodra de zomer begint, komt er ook meer ongedierte tevoorschijn. Door de warmte, droogte en het vele eten dat buiten wordt gegeten, zijn de omstandigheden perfect voor verschillende soorten beestjes.
