Sunday 22nd February, the LifeStar Malta Marathon will take place across Malta. Several area's in Malta will have roads close, see the 5 maps below for the locations and times.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Sliema, Gżira and Msida seafronts in the direction of Valletta
- Ta' Xbiex Seafront will be closed in both directions
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Triq Dicembru 13 (Marsa), Triq Nazzjonali (Floriana), Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp (Ħamrun) and Triq l-Indipendenza (Pietà) in the direction of Valletta
- Access to Valletta should be made via the Valletta Waterfront between 08:35 and 11:30
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid Central Link towards Ħamrun between 08:10 and 10:30
- Triq l-Imdina (Farsons area) will be closed in both directions from 08:10 to 10:45 Avoid Mrieħel Bypass and Ħamrun Bypass from 08:20 to 11:15 in the direction of Marsa
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect as follows:
- Avoid trips from Mdina / Attard towards Valletta between 07:00 and 10:30
- Triq Durumblat will be closed in both directions from 07:20 to 09:30
- Triq Buqana Roundabout will be closed in all directions from 06:50 to 07:20 and again from 08:05 to 09:00
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes in advance.
Sunday, 22nd February, the LifeStar Malta Marathon will take place across Malta.
- Road closures will be in effect in Rabat & Mtarfa between 06:35 and 09:00.
- Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and plan alternative routes in advance.

Op vrijdag 9 en zaterdag 10 oktober 2026 is het weer tijd voor Birgu Fest! Twee avonden lang verandert het historische Birgu in een sfeervol festival vol duizenden kaarsen, muziek, eten, cultuur en gezelligheid. Wat ons betreft is dit absoluut een van de mooiste jaarlijkse evenementen van Malta – en onze tip is om op vrijdagavond te gaan!
Vanavond trekken we met de teams door Paceville voor een avond vol opdrachten, uitdagingen, verkleedpartijen, drankjes en vooral een hoop gezelligheid. Voordat we beginnen zijn er een paar dingen die je echt even moet weten.
Tijdens onze Pool, BBQ & Karaoke op zondag 20 september spelen we weer een nieuwe ronde van de NedMalta Mystery Envelope!
Je stage is geregeld. Je vliegtickets zijn geboekt. En na een zoektocht op Facebook heb je zelfs een appartement gevonden in Gżira voor de maanden dat je op Malta verblijft.
Na ruim 100 dagen zonder regen lijkt het dan eindelijk zover: de eerste regen komt weer richting Malta!
Zon, zee, palmbomen en na je werk nog even naar het strand. Voor veel Nederlanders klinkt wonen en werken in Malta als een behoorlijk goed idee. En eerlijk is eerlijk: het dagelijks leven ziet er hier gewoon anders uit dan in Nederland.
Zaterdag 19 september organiseren we weer één van de leukste én gekste NedMalta-events: de Kroegentocht – The Pub Challenge!
