Tigné pet-friendly beach closed because of contamination

HEALTH WARNING!!! Environmental Health Directorate looking into determining the source of 'white material'

Bathers are being urged to avoid Tigne's pet-friendly beach because of the "presence of white material".

The Environmental Health Directorate said in a statement it was looking into determining the source of contamination.

The directorate does not yet know when the site will be safe for swimming again.

Signs alerting swimmers about the health risk have been installed on site. When the quality is restored, the signs will be removed.

Warm begin van november in Malta – bijna zomer in de herfst!

Malta lijkt dit jaar de herfst over te slaan. Terwijl in Noord-Europa de truien en regenjassen uit de kast komen, genieten de Maltezen en bezoekers van zomerse temperaturen tot wel 27°C. Volgens de populaire Facebookpagina Maltese Islands Weather start november met zon, lichte bewolking en zelfs strandwaardig weer.
